In an instant everything changed. “Let there be light” spoken from God’s breath, changed a dark, void universe into a place of light. Even the darkness is obedient, giving way to the light.
Everything changed for a people enslaved in a foreign land as God transforms a captive people in Egypt, to His chosen nation of Israel. Their obedience to follow Him, saved their nation.
Everything changed for a couple of fishermen who were frustrated by the nights lack of production, when a stranger directed them to cast their nets – one more time. The first of many things the Lord will ask them to do, that they will not understand. Their obedience to a strange request introduced them, and the world, to the Savior of all man kind.
Everything changed for a brutal Pharisee traveling on a road to Damascus, when he encountered Jesus. Saul’s obedience even transformed his name to Paul. And he began witnessing to the Gentiles, and wrote much of the New Testament.
Everything changed when The Only Begotten Son, being obedient to the Father, chose to be crucified for your and my sins.
An event so transformative it split all of time.
Transformation comes through obedience to God and His Word.
And everything can change for anyone who confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart that Jesus is their Savior. The obedience literally creates a new being and gives home to the Holy Spirit within them.
Isn’t it time for everything to change?
It all begins with obedience.
